34th Annual Trout Rodeo |

2025 Trout Rodeo
Annually for the last 33 years we have held a "KID'S FISH FOR FREE" Trout Rodeo. We usually have between 150 and 175 kid's each year come to our rodeo and fish for free. We do this as a community service to promote the sport of fishing in our area. This is not a fundraiser for the club, and all proceeds go directly to the rodeo. The rodeo is open to the public, and all kids of 15 years & under are welcome. We always have some type of give away item for the kids, a free hotdog, and a door prize drawings through out the weekend.
We also offer a free replica mount for the kid who catches the largest trout.
We try to have enough prizes so everyone leaves with something.
Handicapped Youth Event
We are holding our 3rd Annual HANDICAPPED YOUTH EVENT on Friday March 28th, 2025 This event will be open for any youth under the age of 16 who is facing a special life challenge. We are planning on giving these kids early access to the pond, providing them with any fishing gear that they may need, door prizes for all, and have
volunteers available to help these challenged fishermen.
Pre-registration will be required.
More information & registration forms are available below.
This project is a big undertaking for our small club. It is not a fundraiser for the club, we do this to introduce & promote the sport of fishing to young people through out Berks County. It is very expensive to put on. We spend $4000.00 on trout alone, and we are always looking for corporate & individual sponsors. If you know of a business or an individual who would like to help, please download a sponsor request form and past it along to them, or you can use the donation button below to donate online. We also help defer the costs by charging adults a fee to fish after the kids are done on Saturday & all day Sunday.
We would like to thank The Lazy K Campground for graciously allowing us to use their pond, and we are especially happy to have a local Wounded Warrior Group join us again this year to supply food and drink for the event. They always do an excellent job and all proceeds from the food sales go to the
Berks County Chapter of Wounded Warriors.
We are looking forward to having them back again with high expectations of this union growing in success
for years to come!
